At first glance this site just looked like a back yard to a rather run down farm. But when you got past the old disused caravans and other equipments, you will find a nice bit of apple orchard where you could pitch your tent.
Tanpits Cider Farm is listed on the camping and caravanning club, but I must say it is not to the same standard/price that we have become used to from the club. The toilet block is rather run down and the very cheap shower, a 30p token, was blistering hot and only three minutes long. So by the time you got lobster red and used to the heat, time was up.
If you are not scared of chickens and other feathered friends, curious little buggers and they had a go at our new tent too. The orchard is a nice green bit of grass to pitch your tent for a night between the threes.

Only three oinks because of the run down feel to the site and that you could hear the A38 and maybe M5 throughout the night. Though very close to four if they could figure out the heating for the showers and since it was so cheap, the right price for a cycle tourer.
Was planning to stay hear pulled up on sight and police everywhere. Least to say I was surprised.when I got out my vehicle there was a strong smell of cannabis in the air. So I promptly got back in my vehicle and drove off the cider farm.I can honestly say I will never be going back there again and reported to crime stoppers. This hasn’t put me off other caravan parks not all are like this .Also informed the caravan club of my disgust.
