Description: (From their site) Mellow Farm is a small, family farm of 110 hectares on the beautiful Hampshire-Surrey border and is centred on the River Wey. It is set on sandy heathland and is either grassland or small wooded areas.

Arriving at the Mellow Farm Adventure camp site (their red site) we saw a big field with five other campers plotted about. We were greeted by the proprietor of the site(s) and were shown to our pitch. Which was very easy, anywhere where the grass had been cut.
The red site is part of a few others on the farm, this one you are allowed to have a fire and there are clean portaloos and one tap with running water.
We didn’t have a fire, but did enjoy others that had, and could hear them talking well into the night.
Mellow Farm is a working farm so you can get nice and personal with the animals.

This site, well lets be honest is just a field and was just what we where looking for. A place to camp and test out our new tent. We had access to clean portaloos, so that we didn’t have to do as the bears do, and had running water. We didn’t need more and we got just what we wanted, and a good night sleep.
