As a bit of luxury since we knew when we arrived from Buenos Aires we would be rather knackered, we booked into the Posada del Fin del Mundo for one night.
We arrived at 9:30am and were warmly greeted by Gladys, one of the staff, who kindly asked if we wanted breakfast while waiting for our room to be ready. How could we say no to that after the horrid night we had had?
The room was ready by 11am and we were counting zzzs before 11:15am again on a very good and firm bed, albeit a bit short for me, but that is not uncommon!
La Posada is a lovely old-fashioned style B&B, where you are a guest in the home of Ana and her family and dog and cat. Located some way up the Calle Rivadavia, the views from the breakfast room are stunning over Ushuaia bay.
Once we had rested a bit, I put the bikes together and parked them in the inside porch. They staff were very helpful and didn’t object to the bikes being indoors; in fact, they admired them!
A wonderful hotel, great rooms and friendly and helpful staff.
